About STÜGG
STÜGG is a 5-piece metal band started in 2017 in Hillerød, Denmark. STÜGG has been playing live shows since 2019, where they took part in the talent contest Emergenza Festival and reached the finals. The concert season following the release of their debut album “Go For the Throat” was cut short due to lockdowns, but the guys are ready to bring some noise back with new material, served alongside tons of energy and cockiness.
STÜGG is all about riffing like the thrash giants of the mid 80’s, with a modern groove and inspiration from the core genres. Bands like everything from Megadeth and Pantera to Slipknot and Lamb of God influence the groovy verses, thundering solos and neck breaking breakdowns, with a vocal that flows between controlled roaring and explosive screaming - with a little room for some clean singing.
Now they’re ready to release their second album “Shepherd of the Pit”, and the ambitions have been turned up to the max, along with the brutality of the music.
A concert with STÜGG is confrontational, fast paced, and in your face. The songs encourage chants, singalongs, and last but not least, moshpits. Most often you’ll find the band members all the way over the edge of the stage, if not among the audience, starting the party. STÜGG is a powerful band that has blood on their teeth for getting their name out on the Danish and international music scene, with their fresh twist on the thrash metal genre and their energetic live performances.
