What happens if a group of metal musicians decide to start a Folk rock group? Cinematic rock quintet from the coldest part of Denmark, SUPERSCUM delivers a mellow blend of catchy melodies and melancholy. The band entered the Danish music scene back in 2014 with the critically acclaimed EP SuperScum and their
follow up EP Blackout in 2016. With references to classic hand-played Folk and Country music, combined with a background in the heavier music genres and wrapped well in a Nordic and well-produced sound, SUPERSCUM had taken the first steps in the development of the sound that would later define the band.
"When the worst thing you can mention about a band is the band name, then you've definitely got something" - GFRock.dk
… SUPERSCUM is inspired by everything from Jazz to Hard Rock, from Metal to Pop music.
With former members of Danish metal pioneers Mnemic as well as 9000 John Doe, Broadmoor, Methonia, This Fusion Kills and other prominent names on the Danish rock and metal scene, they believe that the combination of strong hooks and musical creativity makes SUPERSCUM a worthwhile and different acquaintance. Since the beginning the band has gained air time on the biggest radio stations in Denmark, been interviewed on national television, provided music for short films and teaching courses at Viborg Film School and back in 2013 before releasing the first EP, they won the first prize at "Euro Country Masters'' in Germany”
