Federal Unicorn

About Federal Unicorn

Frivulous, inviting and persistent – this trio of contrasting, yet coherent personalities brings about their own touch on rock’n’roll. Their music is largely inspired by grunge and britrock, being often compared to bands like Nirvana and KoL. Since their formation in 2010 the band has released an album entitled ‘’Come Again’’ in 2014 and has since played in and out of Denmark, with numerous gigs in Germany, Austria, Netherlands, UK and Canada. The band is releasing a new  EP entitled ‘’Substances’’ on February 29th, 2016 with four songs torching the grungy direction that the band has recently dived into. Their songs breed curiosity, trouble and experience, all resolving in generous harmonies. Simple, but elaborate music, a fearless stage act and a good ear for novelty have been the band’s focus areas ever since.

Federal Unicorn

Extravagant and persistent - with an attitude of a sophisticated punk, this band reaches out to their audiences with messages of individualism, self-liberation and love. Substance induced sounds, and a personality torn between discipline and lavishness are the defining elements of this band.

Many thanks to Kulturpalast Hannover and Captain Casanova for a wonderful visit to Germany. Playing solo is a peculiar experience, but I'll try and bring the whole circus next time ;) - R
